Irrigation

Groundwater supply accounts for 1.72 percent of all-natural resources. There are 249 blocks in all, but only 31 are in a safe state. The state's average rainfall varies by district, ranging from 158.0 mm in Jaisalmer to 968.0 mm in Sirohi. The state is divided into 16 basins, with only two (Chambal and Mahi) receiving adequate rainfall and yield. Irrigation systems, such as:

  1. Farm Pond -
    Building a farm pond is an essential and practical practise for collecting rainwater.
  2. Diggi –
    Diggi construction is a very beneficial operation in the Canal Command area for restoring surplus water for field crops and other agricultural activities.
  3. Water Tank –
    Jalhauz construction is a very necessary and useful operation for storing water for timely irrigation as and when required in areas where the groundwater level is very deep and electric supply is erratic.
  4. Pipeline –
    Irrigation Water Usage The use of a pipeline facility is an essential practise for promoting effective irrigation water use.
  5. Sprinkler -
    Sprinkler irrigation and Mobile Raingun facility is provided to farmers for promoting the efficient use of irrigation water.
