Cotton Ginning & Pressing Ganganagar is the cotton belt of India and ranks first in Rajasthan in cotton production. Nearly 354269 MT of America cotton [Narma] and desi cotton 6732 Bails has been produced during the year 2017 though a good number of about 18 ginning and pressing units have already been set up still there is ample scope in cotton ginning and pressing industries because these units are not able to cope with the heavy demand of ginning cotton during the season.
Cotton Spinning Mills Total production of the cotton in the district is about 361001 bales per season [1 Bale 170 kg.] but only 10-15% bales are being processed by the local spinning mills and the rest production being sent to other states for spinning purpose.
Oil Mills Ganganagar is famous for its oil mills and also ranks first in Rajasthan in the production of Oil Seeds. During the year 2018 about 317285 MT Oil seeds were produced in the district. There are 73 oil mills registered in the district. There is a good demand for Ganganagar's oil in West Bengal and Eastern States as such few more units can be established.
Solvent Extraction Plant – After extracting oil forms seed there is a byproduct naming Oil cake. 5-6%Oil can be further extracted from oil cake. After extracting oil from oil cake D:\Main\Webportal\PortalData\Industrial Scenario\IPS 2018-19\IPS_SRIGANGANAGAR_2018-19.docx 49 there remains a by-product De-Oiled cake[DOC]. There is a good demand for DOC in Pakistan.
Vanaspati Ghee The availability of cotton seeds, groundnut and sunflower in the district is good and the demand of Vanaspati Ghee [hydrogenated Oil] is increasing very fast. Some medium or large scale units may be set up to meet out the growing demand of the area.
Rice Mills There is a good scope of export in rice if a latest technological based Rice Mill is established in the area. The product of Rice in the district and there are 2 Rice Mills in the district. Though the main area of Rice cultivation remained with the newly formed Hanumangarh district, there is still good scope for rice mills in Sriganganagar.
Roller Flour Mills The district rank is good in state in production of Wheat. During 2018, 167564 hectares area was taken into wheat cultivation and 11.16 lacs MT of wheat was produced in the district. There are 10 roller flour mills in districts. The production of wheat in the district is further likely to increase with the availability of more and more irrigation facilities. Ganganagar itself has development as a big grain mandi of the country and presently wheat is sent out of the district to the various parts of the state and country. The possibility of growing profit to the grower cannot be ruled out of the production of wheat put to industries use. Thus there is a possibility of setting up some roller flour mills in the district
Straw Board Units Large quantity of wheat and rice straws is available in the district. Straws being agro waste have of course no important use but still it can provide base material for about one plant of straw board in the district. Food processing units Since the economy of the district is based upon agriculture and the increasing production of fruit like Malta ,Mausummi and Kinnoo in the district provide possibilities of food processing units, “Kinnoo”of the district Ganganagar is very much famous in abroad Ready to Sip juice units of kinnow and sugarcane can be set up in the district.Some tiny units of Achar, Murabba, Jam and Jelly can also be established in the vicinity.
Dal Mills The production of pulses and gram in the district is about 148189 lacs MT, which roughly comes to 6.15% of the total production of state. There are 15 dal mills in districts. Since only 1/3 of the production is used in industries, as such looking to the local need five more DAL MILLS can be established in the district.
Sugar Mill There is only one sugar Mill in the district and that too in the public sector. As such there is no private sector governed Sugar Mill in the district. Looking towards the local production of sugarcane, there is a good scope setting up one more Sugar Mill in the area.

Khandsari Sugar UnitsKhandsari sugar units have good prospects in the district. These units have good employment potential as these are more labor intensive.
Gur Making Units Gur making units can be established in a big way as in Meerut area of U.P. utilize the sugarcane production locally. There is a great demand for Gur in rural areas of the district.

Cattle Feed- Availability of Raw material for cattle feed is in good quantity in the district so that there is a good scope of cattle feed units.
Cement Tiles- There is good scope of cement tiles, mosaic tiles & interlocking tiles in the districts.
Agro waste briquettes The main sources of livelihood of the peoples are agriculture and animal husbandry. Livestock plays a vital role in the development of the economy of a district. Since the economy of Sriganganagar district is mainly based on agriculture, livestock is vital next to agriculture. So that there is lots of raw material available for agro waste briquettes.
