Architecture of Rajasthan

Rajasthan is known for its temples, palaces, and forts, as well as its architectural heritage. The Dilwara temples, Chittaurgarh fort, Jaisalmer Haveli, City Palace, and Brahma temple are some of Rajasthan's most prominent architectural legacies.

Architectural styles include the following:

  1. Chhatri is a dome-shaped porch that is used as a constituent to portray the fundamentals of admiration and pride.
  2. Jharokha a suspended enclosed gallery that served as a pardah for women to observe events.
  3. Stepwells are wells or ponds where water can be accessed by descending a spiral staircase.
  4. Havelis are the mansions.
  5. Johads are rainwater storage tanks.
